To be Rectors are the Reverends: Howard Phelane - St. Andrew Madadeni; Tsietsi Seleoane - Holy Trinity Newcastle; Nkosinathi Ngcobo - St Philip Dundee (and Priest-in-Charge of St. James); Thabani Nzuza, St John the Baptist Ixopo; Rodney Cox - Holy Angels Pietermaritzburg; Linda Wyngaard - St Paul's Pietermaritzburg,; Thami Tembe - Good Shepherd Amanzimtoti; Martin Tifflin - St Michael's Umhlanga; May Laban - St Paul's Durban; Eric Gallant - St John with St Raphael Sydenham; Gary Thompson - Holy Trinity Hillcrest. Thokozani Ndunge, goes as Assistant Priest to St Luke's Woodlands and Peter Wyngaard receives a General Licence as Canon Theologian. Archdeacon Ndabezinhle Sibisi is to be installed by Bishop Rubin as Dean and Rector of the Cathedral Pietermaritzburg at 11 a.m. on Sunday 18th January Diocesan Ordination Eight persons were made Deacons in the Cathedral on the 29th November. They were William Leonard Doctor Bennie, to go to Stanger, Aurelia Nompumelelo Mabaso, to Newcastle, Jane Manser, to the Berea, Jenny Mills Mitchell to Margate, Hlabangane Sixtus Ndlovu, to Port Shepstone, Thokozani SibusisoMdunge, to Woodlands, Diane Pickford, to Drakensberg and Nicolette Coleen Reddy to Phoenix. Three Deacons were ordained to the Priesthood, namely The Revd Elizabeth Jane Getman, Holy Trinity Hillcrest, The Revd David Carl Goldstone, St Cyprian's Durban and The Revd Christopher Spencer Rippon Meyer, S Paul's Durban. Gill Bruyns of St Mary's parish in Richmond, and Perfect Malimela of St Augustine's, Umlazi were invested during the course of the Ordination Service as members of the Order of the Holy Nativity in recognition of their faithful service in the Diocese. And a surprise announcement by Bishop Rubin during the Ordination Service that he is awarding Dean Fred Pitout an Honorary Canonry as he leaves the Cathedral to take up a new form of pastoral ministry was received with prolonged applause.Other Clergy Moves The Revd Ivan Gunkel has been appointed Archdeacon of Pietermaritzburg, The Revd May Laban as Archdeacon of Pietermaritzburg and The Revd Thami Tembe Archdeacon of Lovu The Revd Peter Wyngaard (General Licence) has been appointed Canon Theologian - and after a long battle with cancer The Revd Ian Bastable was made an Honorary Canon a week before he died.

The radio station has always taken their social responsibility seriously and this year Emma Barter Home, situated in Pietermaritzburg, was one of their very lucky recipients.
