100% Pass rate for St Nicholas Diocesan School Matrics

St Nicholas Diocesan School achieved 100% pass rate in the Independent Examinations Board

St Nicholas Diocesan School wrote their first Independent Examinations Board Matriculation Examinations in 2008 and achieved 100% pass rate. Mike Ford, the Headmaster, Deb Avery, Deputy Head and Annette Rheeder, Head of the High School Department, were overjoyed at the results. The Chairman of the St Nicholas School Council, Bishop Rubin Phillip, Anglican Bishop of Natal, sent messages of congratulations to all saying how proud he was of the school.

St Nicholas School opened in 1990 when the need for quality education for reviously disadvantaged children was paramount. The school opened their doors to 130 pupils from Pre-Primary to Grade 3. In 2008 there were 580 pupils from Grade R to Grade 12. The school motto is 'Deus Ducit - God Leads' and the school strives to ' provide a high quality education to form a firm academic foundation for a well balanced intellectual life,' and 'to be aware of the responsibility to serve the broad community in appropriate ways and to encourage the same spirit of service amongst the pupils.'

The class of 2008 is testament to this Mission.
