RIP Revd Ronald Taylor

Revd Ronald Enfield Bissett Taylor died on 25th February 2009 (Ash Wednesday). He was chaplain of St. Paul's theological college from 1960 - 1963 and served in various parishes of the CPSA.

Ron Taylor died on Ash Wednesday at the age of 80. He was chaplain of St. Paul's theological college from 1960 - 1963 and served in various parishes of the CPSA. He was retired in Cape Town. He is survived by his wife Valerie . Ronald Enfield Bissett Taylor, priest, was a holy man with a subtle influence on his students whom he helped to form. We thank God for him, for his life of quiet faith and love. May he rest in peace, grow in love and rise in glory. Amen.

The Revd Ronald Enfield Bissett Taylor: Chaplain of St Paul’s Theological College, Grahamstown, South Africa (1960-62); Rector of Nelspruit (1962-64); Nelspruit with White River and Plaston (1964-65); Rector of St John the Baptist, Walmer, with St Nicholas’s, Charlo (1965-69, 1974-77); Rural Dean of Port Elizabeth (1968-70); Rector of St John the Baptist, Walmer, with St Nicholas’s, Charlo, and St Augustine’s, Walmer (1969-74); Canon of St Mary’s Collegiate Church, Port Elizabeth (1975-80); Rector of St John the Baptist with St Augustine’s, Walmer (1977-80); Archdeacon of Port Elizabeth (1977-80); Rector of St Saviour’s, Claremont (1980-88); Edenvale (1988-94); Canon of St Dunstan’s Cathedral, Benoni (Highveld), since 1994; aged 80.
